The focus for Cheeseburn's programe in 2021 was to celebrate six years of the Gillian Dickinson North East Emerging Sculptors Award and we were able to invite previous participating artists to show their work and make new commissions.

2021 also marked the 'reopening' of cultural venues after 18 months of Covid lockdown and the opportunity to invite audiences back to engage with the arts, and I was delighted to engage Ballet Lorent to produce a new performance and film called 'Parade' , and their preview performance at Cheeseburn marked their first opportunity to dance together since the start of Covid.

This was the final year which I curated the programme at Cheeseburn where we produced 40 magical open weekends over eight years.
