I started working with Parabola's development of Edinburgh Park in 2018 and continue to advise and develop ambitious arts projects with the team as their long-term masterplan is delivered. I produced their Arts Strategy which included photography and poetry residencies and have brought new sculptures to the site from Andrew Burton and Louise Plant to augment Parabola's sculpture collection which can be discovered across the new public realm. In 2023 I directed a film and poetry project to record the journey of Eduardo Paolozzi's Vulcan sculpture by lorry from the artists birthplace in Leith across the city to be permanently sited at Edinburgh Park.
Most recently we have started a regular poetry zine led by poet-in-residence Janette Ayachi, and I set up and curated the Scottish Emerging Sculptor Award which was won by Ben Barbour and his sculpture will be a focal point within the new housing phase of Edinburgh Park in 2026.
Engagement with young people and schools projects are an increasing focus as the project matures and we have worked with local schools to produced poetry films and hoardings and currently we are working on a new arts activity book designed by Paulina Malowaniec to encourage children to explore and engage with the sculptures across Edinburgh Park.
